How to Summerize your Car

Summer means road trip season. This means you'll want to get your car ready to go anywhere that you want to go this year. Ready to get this show on the road? Follow the tips below to summarize your car.

Tip 1- Check all fluids

This means oil, brake, transmission, coolant, etc. These fluids need to be checked and replaced if needed. Without these fluids, the car doesn't run properly. So it's important that it's up-to-date as it can protect your car from harmful debris, random metal fragments and dirt from getting in the system.

Tip 2-Check the tire pressure

Long road trips can do a lot of wear and tear on tires. So you'll want to make sure that your tires are ready for that. You should check the pressure to ensure that it has the right pressure. If you're using all-season tires, you'll especially want to check for the pressure because during the winter months, it can lose 1-2 pounds of air per month. Even if you've stored your summer tires in your garage, they can lose the same amount of air per month during the winter. So you'll want to inflate the tires before going on a road trip.

Tip 3- Make sure the AC is working

Driving without AC can be miserable, especially if you live in an area that has extremely hot weather. This is the perfect time to ensure that the AC is working.

Tip 4- Ensure all of your lights & battery are working

It is important to make sure that both of your interior and exterior lights are working. You can get fined if your taillight isn't working, and you'll need these lights to work at night. You'll also want to ensure that your battery works properly by using a battery tester.

Tip 5- Check the alignment

There's nothing scarier than driving on the highway and feeling the alignment is not right. You can tell it's not right if the steering wheel isn't centered. You'll need to get this fixed asap before driving.
